RFID & GPS-Enabled Emergency Evacuation Tracking
In large-scale emergencies—whether natural or man-made—ensuring the safe and efficient evacuation of citizens is a mission-critical priority. ITEAC plays a leading role in enabling emergency management authorities to execute safe, traceable, and technology-driven evacuations across regions.
Through a strategic contract with the GDEM (Governor’s Division of Emergency Management), ITEAC serves as the primary technology provider for implementing a comprehensive Evacuation Management System (EMS) that leverages RFID, GPS, and real-time data tracking.
On-Site Registration
Evacuees are registered at emergency assembly points and issued bar-coded RFID wristbands for identity tagging and tracking.
✅ Mobile Data Capture
Using rugged Motorola® handhelds equipped with RFID scanners and barcode readers, personnel scan each evacuee’s wristband as they board state-contracted vehicles. Boarding logs are automatically generated and updated in real time.
✅ Live Location Tracking
Evacuation vehicles are equipped with GPS systems from WebTech®, allowing authorities to monitor movement along evacuation routes and ensure accountability.
✅ Real-Time Centralized Updates
All data is securely transmitted to the University of Texas Center for Space Research data center, enabling central tracking of evacuee locations and status throughout the journey.
✅ Safe Arrival & Family Reunification
Upon reaching designated shelters, the evacuee’s information is updated, ensuring that families can be located and reunited quickly in times of crisis.
